24 Hours Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
24 Hours is a time-budgeting app for iPhone and Android from Scrolling Is Evil LLC (App Store, Google Play). Help is on the support page, and the terms are here.
Summary
24 Hours is private by default. The app stores your goals, timers, history, and preferences locally on your device unless you enable optional Google Drive backup. It uses no advertising or analytics SDKs and does not send your goal or timer data to the developer. The one outside service is RevenueCat, which handles the Supporter purchase (see below).
Network-based features are limited to the optional one-time “24 Hours Supporter” purchase, optional Google Drive backup, and the list of our other apps in Settings. Purchase processing and entitlement validation are handled by Google Play / Apple and RevenueCat. Google Drive backup uses Google Sign-In and stores a private backup file in the user’s Google Drive app-data folder.
What data the app stores
The app stores the following on your device only, using the operating system’s standard local storage (shared_preferences): the goals you create (name, icon, color, allocated time, active weekdays, tags); the running/remaining time for each goal; up to 90 days of daily history; and your theme and app preferences. This goal, timer, history, and preference information never leaves your device unless you enable optional Google Drive backup and is not accessible to the developer.
The Lock Screen timer on iPhone (a Live Activity) and the home-screen widget on Android show your running timer and day from the same data on the phone.
What data we collect
The developer does not collect your goal, timer, history, preference, contact, location, health, or device media data. There is no account system, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, crash-reporting service, or developer-operated backend for app content.
If you use or restore the optional Supporter purchase, purchase history and entitlement information is processed by RevenueCat to validate the purchase, prevent fraud, restore access, and show aggregate purchase analytics to the developer. 24 Hours does not send RevenueCat your name, email address, goals, timers, or history, and the app does not use a custom user account identifier or advertising identifier.
If you enable optional Google Drive backup, the app uses Google Sign-In to get permission for Google Drive app-data storage. The backup contains your 24 Hours goals, timers, history, and backup preferences. It is stored in your Google Drive account’s hidden app-data folder and is used only for backup and restore. The developer does not receive or operate a copy of this backup.
Purchases
24 Hours offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, “24 Hours Supporter” ($4.99 in the US). Purchases are processed by the platform’s billing service (Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store) and validated through RevenueCat. The app does not receive or store your name, payment card, or billing details. The app stores whether Supporter is unlocked locally so it can keep the feature available after purchase.
Export and sharing
Export CSV copies your history to the clipboard. Share day makes an image of the day and opens the share sheet. Where either one goes is up to you. The app does not upload them.
Permissions
The app does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or other sensitive device data. If you enable Google Drive backup, the app requests Google account sign-in and Google Drive app-data permission.
Data sharing
Goal, timer, history, and preference data is not shared with the developer. Purchase history and entitlement data is processed by RevenueCat as a service provider for the optional Supporter purchase. Optional Google Drive backup is stored in the user’s Google Drive app-data folder for backup and restore.
Data retention and deletion
Because app content is stored locally, you are in full control of it. You can delete individual goals and history within the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device.
Purchase records are retained by Google Play / Apple and RevenueCat as needed to process purchases, restore access, prevent fraud, and meet legal or operational requirements. Google Drive backups remain in the user’s Google account until the user deletes them or revokes app access. To delete one, open Google Drive on the web, go to Settings → Manage apps, and choose Delete hidden app data for 24 Hours. Contact support if you want help requesting deletion of RevenueCat-held purchase records.
List of our other apps
Settings shows a list of our other apps. The app loads that list from a public file at scrollingisevil.com. The request carries no name, account, device identifier, or data from the app. Like any web request, it shows your IP address to Cloudflare, which hosts this site. If the request fails, the app shows the list built into it. Tapping a row opens that app’s store page.
Children’s privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The optional Supporter purchase is handled by Google Play / Apple and RevenueCat.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will change.
