Privacy
Updated 2026-10-02. This page is the privacy policy for Page & Hour.
Who we are
Page & Hour is made by Scrolling Is Evil LLC. Questions: support@scrollingisevil.com.
What the phone stores
Your pages: ink strokes, typed text, sticky notes, stickers and photos you placed, and their dates. Also your sticker library, templates, pen settings, toolbar placement, app color, and whether the Supporter purchase is active. Photos you add are copied into the app’s own storage. There is no account.
If your phone backs up apps to iCloud or Google, that backup can include your journal. Apple or Google holds it under their own terms, and we cannot read it.
Photos
Page photos come from your photo library. Stickers come from your photo library or from Files. The app copies each one into its own storage. The app does not use the camera, microphone or location.
What leaves the phone
Your pages never leave the phone unless you share one. Share image and Share PDF turn one page into a file and open your phone’s share sheet, and the file goes only where you pick. The support and privacy links in About open your mail app or browser.
The one network connection is to RevenueCat, for the optional Supporter purchase (below). The app has no usage analytics, crash reporting, ads or advertising identifier, and nothing about how you use the journal is sent anywhere.
Purchases
Page & Hour offers one optional one-time purchase, Page & Hour Supporter. It adds six spreads, paper colors and app colors. Everything else in the app is free without it.
The purchase is made through the App Store or Google Play, which handle payment. The app does not receive your name, email address or payment details. RevenueCat, a service provider, checks the purchase with the store and keeps the purchase record (purchase history, an anonymous app user ID it creates, and basic device and app information such as the operating system and app version) so you can restore it on a new phone. RevenueCat never receives your pages, ink, text, photos or stickers. RevenueCat also uses the purchase records to give us totals (for example, how many Supporter purchases were made). We do not use a custom user ID, and the purchase data is not used for tracking or advertising.
The app keeps a note on the phone that Supporter is active, so the extras work offline. Pages made with Supporter spreads or paper colors keep showing the same way even if the purchase is refunded.
Kids
Page & Hour is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think we have, email us and we will delete what we hold.
Deleting data
Uninstalling the app removes the journal and every photo it copied. There is no server copy of your pages. Purchase records are kept by Apple or Google and RevenueCat as needed to restore purchases, prevent fraud and meet legal requirements. Email us if you want help asking RevenueCat to delete its record.
If this policy changes, the new text is posted at this address with a new date.
